Treehouse Music is a community-rooted music education initiative based in Southern California. Our goal is to expand access to high-quality music education for kids who might not otherwise have it. We focus on collaboration, creative self-expression, and confidence-building instruction to help students grow, connect, and express themselves through music. We believe music is more than a subject. It’s a pathway to human connection, emotional development, and self-worth. From improv music circles in public libraries to songwriting clubs in after-school programs, Treehouse Music helps students from all backgrounds discover the power of creative expression in a safe environment. Since launching, we've partnered with schools, libraries, and community organizations across Los Angeles County—including Pasadena Public Library, SGUSD, and The Academy Project—to bring the power of music into everyday spaces.
Our Founder
Marwan Nassar first picked up a guitar as a kid and discovered more than just music—he found a sense of identity and a safe space to grow. Access, however, didn’t come easily; he didn’t have the chance to study music until high school. Looking back, he wished he had access to music earlier, because of how deeply it shaped his confidence and self-esteem. That spark eventually carried him from classrooms to stages at SXSW, international festivals, Filipino national TV, and collaborations with GRAMMY-winning artists. Along the way, Marwan became a credentialed music educator, committed to giving students the kind of opportunities he once longed for himself.
Treehouse Music was born from that belief: that music changes lives. Today, Marwan’s vision is to expand access so every student—no matter their background—can experience the same growth, connection, and joy of self-expression that music gave him.

Our Class Offerings!
Treehouse Strings
Structured music learning through ukulele or guitar. Students build confidence as they learn chords, melodies, and ensemble skills. Skills: Self-discipline, persistence, math patterning, cultural literacy Residency ends in: Group performance for peers/families
